News IAF, Indian Army, Indian Navy, Assured Career Progression (ACP) Jawans below officers ranks ((PBOR), Modified Assured Career Progression Scheme (MACPs)

Implementation of ACP policy (MACPs ) and Promotion PBOR, Update on ACP, News Update Armed forces

It is confirmed that the Modified Assured Career Progression Scheme (MACPs) for PBOR or Armed forces is being implemented as Government India has approved the policy. First board to consider under the new ACP Policy will be held in the Month July 2011. As per the information Policy will be effective from 01 Sep 2008.

Brief About the New Policy
As recommended by 6th Pay commission three Assured Career Progression (ACP) to PBOR at 8, 16 and 24 years of service as against three Modified Assured Career Progression Scheme (MACPs) for the Central Government Civilian Employees at 10, 20 and 30 years of regular service. At the time of each financial upgradation under ACP, the PBOR would get an additional increment and next higher Grade Pay in hierarchy. The ACP provided only financial benefits only.

Brief of ACP for Army, Navy, Air Force Armed force Personal

ACP policy will be in line with the pay commission recommendation. First upgradation will be at 8 years of service and second upgradation will be at 16 years of service and third upgradation will be at 16 years of services. But if some one get promoted with in 5 years and not got the second promotion then he will get second upgradation after 8 years of service in that ranks. Same way if some one gets promoted second promotion within 10 years than he will get third upgradation after 8 years. Suppose in army Hav rank some one get within 10 years of service and not promoted next rank than he will be upgradged next financial upgradation after completion of 8 years Hav service. This policy ACP is proposed and if approved by government then implemented by the three services. So we can say that some thing good will come soon for the soldiers. I think Now armed force People will be happy with this policy.

  3. I was promoted to the rank of Hav on 01 Jan 1992 and thereafter served up to the year 2007 without any further promotion due to lack of vacancy. Now the question is, whether the pensioners will also be benefitted with this policy ?

Sir I have missed ACP benefits as implementation of policy. I completed 7 years and 17 days in next high rank. their is any provision like one person who completed 14 years and 6 month service in IAF but he is not eligible of pension benefits but AOC AFRO has some power on puting an application by candidates AOC can recommended/allow for pension benefit to him. In same way on puting an application to AOC AFRO for allowing/recommendation acp benefit for left 13 days for completion of 8 years in next high rank.

  21. MACP policy was approved on Jun 2011 and serving personnel who are effected have been paid benefits of MACP in Oct 2011 but the person who already retired but eligible for the benefits of MACP have not been paid. But why such a injustice to the veteran( Exservicemen). It is not delayed but over delayed. So many people in Army, Navy and IAF are effected. No one is listening and it is also not sure when the benefits of macp will be given to ex-servicemen. I think it is time to file RTI to know where is the delay and who is responsible and what action can be taken against the person who caused such a delay. What you say?
